Friday Favorite FAIL: Fisher-Price Sing and Cook With Elmo

This Friday Favorite seemed to be a major win.

dancing & cooking with Elmo

The goal was to keep the boys busy "cooking" while I prepared dinner.  It worked!  Fisher-Price's Sing and Cook with Elmo plays many catchy tunes that I actually didn't mind hearing a couple dozen times.  There were enough pots & utensils for the boys to share, and it held their interest just long enough.

It's actually a pretty smart toy.  The Sing and Cook With Elmo is a large magnet that we stick to the front of the fridge at playtime. The 3 pots and 2 utensils correspond with matching colored & shaped pegs on the magnet, and the pots contain some yummy foods: eggs, pasta, and alphabet soup.

Sharing!
I thought I was a genius for finding this toy,  until...
O figured out how to play the music!
I saw the damage it did to the front of our fridge.

ooops

I guess scratches and gauges on the stainless steal are a price to pay for some peace while cooking.  I probably should have known better.

A Day In The Life

I took Jill from BabyRabies' challenge and carried my camera around all day on Tuesday.  I, too, would really love the luxury of having a photographer follow our family around!  But I will have to do...  The goal was to take a pic each hour, but some hours needed more than one- especially 6pm, because O was an all star.

There was nothing out of the ordinary on the calendar for this day- just JD's second day of school and O's first official day at My Gym.

"Get that camera out of my face, and FEED ME!"

A much happier wake-up.

I don't care how messy his room is if it gets me an extra 30 minutes of sleep.

Building a "duck house"

On our way to school.

O and I had one-on-one time at Barnes & Noble story time.

Happy preschooler with a stamped hand.

post-lunch, pre-nap book reading

Nap time = snack time & computer time

This is our daily game of JD arranges the animals & O messes them up. Fun times.

O played peek-a-boo in the hallway

JD is pretty entertaining.

And O is a big ham.

Not too impressed by dinner

My Gym FINALLY opened for the season, and O is a new member.

He spent 8 months watching JD do all this stuff, and he is not the least bit scared to crawl down the slide head first.

He's too strong.

And too determined.

And too impressed with himself.

Bathtime for brothers

Hubby was out, and I wanted to use his computer, but it was ssssslllllloooooowwwwwww, so I spent too much time trying to speed it up.

Pinterest + tea + biscotti + Teen Mom

Looking for more ideas for O's birthday party while watching more Teen Mom.
